On Yuta’s birthday, Rika gave him a present, which was an engagement ring, and Rika was cutting her finger. And she said,
Me and Yuta are going to get married when we grow up.
But after this, Rika died in a car accident.
And the ring that Rika gave to him is the key item that brings them together later on.

In the 1st chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen volume 0, on his first day at the technical college of, Yuta Okkotsu was suddenly asked to do practical training at an exocising of curses.

This is the scene after Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto defeated Suguru Geto in the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0.

In the final chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 volume, in the battle of Geto, Yuta manifested Rika showed various techniques.
