[Jujutsu Kaisen] Profile of Kento Nanami! Age, birthday, height, weight, Technique, Voice Actor and more!
We have compiled the following list of profiles of Kento Nanami, aka Nanamin.
Many sorcerers are unique characters, for better or worse, so much so that few of them have the sensibilities of ordinary people.
However, Nanami has left the technical college to work for a company, and because of his experience in the workforce, he is one of the most solid characters among the sorcerers.
While he thinks rationally and efficiently about everything, he is surprisingly picky when it comes to food, and it has been revealed that he is actually quite a gourmet.

[Jujutsu Kaisen] Kento Nanamin’s cursed technique and domain expansion !
This section explains Nanami’s cursed technique, and its applied techniques, such as extended technique and domain expansion.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, Nanami’s technique is very unique and versatile, capable of damaging even the best of opponents.
Nanami’s technique is “Ratio technique”.
Nanami’s technique is “Ratio technique“.
This technique is based on the idea of dividing the target’s line into 7:3 sections, making the weak point on the target’s body.
The 7:3 split is not limited to the opponent’s total length or wing span, but can be any part of the opponent’s arm, head, or any other part of the opponent’s body.
In other words, as long as the attacker is precise enough to hit the 7:3 split point, he will be able to score a critical hit with every shot.
In this respect, Nanami, who is calm and collected, is very good at this kind of accurate measurement and attack, so this is a technique that expresses his personality.
The drawback of this technique is that it is limited to melee attacks because it requires pinpointing the 7:3 split point.
So he can’t show his true value if he can’t jump into his opponent’s pocket.
Nanami’s expanded cursed technique “Collapse”
Nanami’s expanded cursed technique “Collapse” was used against Mahito in the 23rd chapter of the 3rd volume of the manga.
He used an expanded technique to put cursed energy into the entire object destroyed by “Ratio technique”, causing a meteor shower with cursed energy to fall.
Since Mahito’s normal attack does no damage, Nanami’s quick decision was to crush him with a cursed-energy-filled attack.
In this case, he used it against a single Mahito, but it is also very effective against many enemies.
Nanami’s domain expansion
In chapter 30 of volume 4 of the manga, it is revealed that Nanami is unable to use domain expansion.
Domain expansion is a special technique for sorcerers, almost like a final secret.
Although it consumes a lot of cursed energy and can’t be used repeatedly (with the exception of Gojo), it basically gives you an absolute advantage once you bring your opponent into the domain.
For this reason, only a very small number of sorcerers can reach this level, and even 1st grade sorcerers are very limited in their ability to use it.
[Jujutsu Kaisen] Domain expansions list! The sorcerers, the effects, the names are shown!
[Jujutsu Kaisen] Kento Nanami is a 1st grade sorcerer! His strengths, techniques and abilities are so great!
We have discussed Nanami’s techniques, but we will also take a closer look at her actual strength and abilities as a sorcerer.
Although there was a blank in his career when he went to work for a general company, he has a lot of experience as a sorcerer.
In addition, Nanami has the opportunity to fight together with Yuji Itadori, so he has more combat depictions than any other 1st-grade sorcerers in the story.
There are many scenes in this story where we can see Nanami’s fighting and his rich experience in battle, so we will explain them one by one.
Nanami is a 1st grade sorcerer!
As mentioned above, Nanami is 1st grade sorcerer.
In the 100th chapter of the 12th volume of the manga, when Nobara Kugisaki witnessed Nanami’s fight, she was astonished at how much stronger he was.
The grade of a sorcerer is an important indicator of strength in jujutsu world, and it is said that most sorcerers reach the qiasi-1st or 2nd grade.
Therefore, just to be promoted to the 1st grade is to be a top-notch sorcerer, which means that not only the salary, but also the danger and secrecy of the mission increases.
The fighting style of Nanami is melee attack
As mentioned in the section on Nanami’s technique, due to the nature of “Ratio technique“, Nanami’s fighting style is melee.
He carries a large machete at all times, but even with the blade wrapped around a spell cloth, he can still sever the cursed spirit with a critical hit from Ratio technique.
Due to Nanami’s precision and experience in combat, all of his attacks become “Critical Hits”, “Heartfelt Blows” and “Excellent Performance” like TV games.
As a result, he can kill lower-ranked opponents instantly and accumulate damage even for higher-ranked enemies.
If you are a 1st class sorcerer, you will have more chances to fight against special grade cursed spirits.
But in his case, he can defeat them with a series of critical hits, which is Nanami’s strength.
Nanami has the strength and experience to fight Mahito alone.
Nanami first met Mahito in the 21st chapter of the 3rd volume of the manga.
Mahito is one of the most powerful cursed spirits in the world, and was probably the strongest cursed spirit Nanamin had ever encountered.
He was a boss with a cheat setting in RPGs: “Basically, if he touches you, you die instantly” and “Our attacks do no damage“.
But Nanami was able to use our quick judgment and “bindings” to disable him.
He couldn’t defeat him because of his cheat setting, but this flexible response is only possible by a 1st-grade sorcerer.
Nanami’s binding vow is “regular hours”! Power up by “working overtime”!
During the battle with Mahito in chater 23 of volume 3 of the manga, Nanami was “working overtime“.
Nanami has imposed on himself a binding vow of “8 hours work a day“.
During this time, Nanami’s cursed energy output is limited, but after the time is up, his spell output increases.
When Nanamin took off his tie and wraps it around his hand like a taping, it is an opportunity to start “working overtime“, and Nanami in this state produced enough cursed energy to bring down the whole wall with expanded technique “Collapse“.
In the Shibuya Incident, he was also powered up by the “working overtime”.
However, during a case as big as the Shibuya Incident, it’s likely that he’ll get a late night allowance instead of working overtime.
Nanami is the record holder for consecutive occurrences of ‘Black Flash’.
Nanami is the record holder for the most consecutive “Black Flash“, and in the past he has hit four in a row.
By the way, in the story, Yuji Itadori also made four consecutive hits against Hanami, so he is tied for first place.
The “Black Flash” is the distortion of space caused by the collision of cursed energy within a margin of error of 0.000001 seconds of the blow, so named because the cursed energy glows black during the distortion of space.
It is extremely difficult to aim, but the average impact is power of 2.5 compared to the normal power.
So it can deal damage that would normally be impossible.
Once you have performed the Black Flash, you will get in a “zone”, where you will be able to understand the core of the cursed energy and perform the spell power manipulation that you normally do consciously as if you were breathing.
By experiencing the “Black Flash”, you will be able to improve your skills as a sorcerer.
If Nanami, whose all attacks are critical hits with the “Ratio technique”, activates the “Black Flash”, it will be incredibly destructive.
I’m curious about the opponent who was hit by it four times in a row.
If his opponent doesn’t have the toughness of Hanami, he/she won’t be able to withstand the “black flash” in the first place, so it’s likely that you were dealing with a special grade cursed spirit.
<New information about Nanami’s black flash>
In the official fan book of the Jujutsu Kaisen, it was revealed what kind of cursed spirits Kento Nanami was dealing with when he took out four Black Flashes.
These are several number of 1st grade cursed spirits that appeared in “Night parade of a hundred demons” that Suguru Geto set off in Volume 0 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
In other words, he didn’t just beat one cursed spirit, he beated multiple cursed spirits one after the other with his black flashes. I’d love to see how he did it.
[Jujutsu Kaisen] Kento Nanami’s strength is examined from his battle record!
So far, we have explained about Nanami’s techniques and strength.
He has faced many enemies in the story, so let’s take a closer look at the results of each battle.
Nanami vs Modified human
In the 20th chapter of the 3rd volume of the manga, Nanami, who was leading Yuji Itadori, came across a Mahito’s modified human.
Because the opponent was as strong as a small fish spirit, he was naturally no match for Nanami and won the battle by cutting off both his limbs in an instant.
By the way, at first he didn’t know that he was a modified human being and thought that he was a cursed spirit and dealt with him, but it turned out that he was a “former human being” because of his reflection in the photo.
This is the seed that Mahito used to lure the sorcerers, and this leads to the encounter with Mahito.
Nanami vs Mahito
The battle between Nanami and Mahito began in chapter 22 of volume 3 of the manga.
Ordinary cursed spirits are unable to communicate properly, but the more powerful cursed spirits are able to communicate.
Mahito is capable of philosophical conversations such as “soul first or body first“, and Nanami has never encountered such a powerful cursed spirit before.
In this battle, he was seriously injured by Mahito’s “Idle transfiguration“, but he retreated by burying him alive with the expanded technique “Collapse”.
However, the chance of victory was slim even if he fought against Mahito, so Nanami’s decision was excellent.
Nanami vs Mahito (fights with Yuji Itadori)
The battle with Mahito began when Jumpei Yoshino was altered in front of Yuji Itadori and died just like that.
Although Yuji is the rare one who can damage Mahito, it was a back and forth battle against Mahito who showed a variety of attacks.
Then, in the 28th chapter of the 4th volume of the manga, Nanami rushed in and the two of them started to exorcise him.
In the middle of the exorcism, they beated up Mahito, but in the middle of the exorcism, he successfully activated domain expansion “Self embodiment of perfection“, and Nanami was in a desperate situation.
In the domain, Nanami raised a death flag by seeing a flash back and saying the words ‘I have no regrets‘, but when Yuji intervened in the domain, Mahito touched Sukuna and was cut down by him.
In the next moment, he was about to die by ‘Idle transfiguration’, but he just barely avoided the death flag.
Nanami vs Haruta Shigemo
During the Shibuya Incident, Nobara Kugisaki and Akira Nitta encountered Haruta Shigemo.
Although Nobara’s skill as a sorcerer was superior to Haruta’s, Haruta’s special cursed technique made them inferior.
In the midst of this inferiority, Nanami rushed to the scene in the 100th chapter of the 12th volume of the manga.
At first, Haruta was a bit of a jerk, but when he saw that Nanami couldn’t even cut with his sword, he started to look like he was in trouble.
And when Nanami asked, “How many friends do you have and where are they?”, but Haruta didn’t know the answer.
Then he was blown away about 10 metres while his body did about three revolutions.
The second shot sent him into the wall, and the third shot sent him through the wall and out of the building.
Despite this fatal blow, he survived thanks to the special technique, but normally he would have died at least three times.
Nanami vs Dagon (fighting with Naobito, Maki and Megumi Fushiguro & interrupted by Toji Fushiguro)
In the 106th chapter of the 12th volume of the manga, the group of Naobito Zen’in, Kento Nanami and Maki Zen’in encountered Dagon.
In the beginning, the group had the upper hand, thanks to Naobito Zen’in’s technique, but the situation was completely reversed when Dagon invoked domain expansion “Horizon of the Captivating Skandha“.
Just as they were about to be annihilated, Megumi Fushiguro rushed in, and with his domain expansion “Chimera Shadow Garden“, he neutralized Dagon’s “must-hit technique”, and managed to bring the battle situation back to 50-50.
But then Toji Fushiguro, who had come down to this world through the séance technique of Grannny Ogami, intervened.
Toji, who had lost his ego and was in the state of a slaughter doll, didn’t distinguish between friend and foe, and was facing “the strongest among those who can be seen”, so he chose Dagon as his attack target here.
And he did a great deed of defeating Dagon alone and won the battle of Dagon at last.
Nanami vs Jogo
In the 111th chapter of the 13th volume of the manga, just when they defeated Dagon, Jogo appeared.
The speed of Jogo is the fastest of all the special grade cursed spirits, and his firepower is so great that Nanami was unable to react at all and was burned to death by the flames.
In the beginning of the story, he was beaten up by Satoru Gojo, but that was just because he was too strong.
Even a 1st garde sorcerer is not strong enough to deal with him, so the only high school sorcerer who can beat him is probably Satoru Gojo.
Nanami vs Modified human and Mahito
Chapter 120 of volume 14 of the manga is Nanami’s last battle.
He was already in a state of near death after the battle of Dagon and Jogo, and was unable to think properly, but even in this state she wandered around the Shibuya station to rescue Megumi Fushiguro.
He came across a crowd of modified humans in the station, but even with his wounds, he unconsciously moved his body and wiped out the horde of modified humans.
However, just as he was about to annihilate the modified humans, Mahito appeared and touches him.
In the meantime, Yuji Itadori rushed to the scene, but Nanami said “Itadori, you’ve got it from here.” and then bursts into pieces and dies.
He was so damaged in the fight with Dagon and Jogo that he could have retreated to the place where Shoko Ieiri is, first to receive treatment.
Even so, it was the end of Nanami’s life that showed that he was willing to work for his friends such as Megumi.
Conclusion of “[Jujutsu Kaisen] Nanami’s cursed technique and battle record!”
In this article, I explained about Kento Nanami Kento’s techniques, strength, skills, abilities, and his achievements.
Nanami was a pillar of spiritual support in the technical college, with all of his attacks being critical hits.
Although he is no longer in the story, it would be nice to see a spin-off episode of his life after he left or returned to the college.
