[Jujutsu Kaisen] Miwa and Mecha-maru are couple? Their love affair and the result of the end!

This article explains the coupling between Kasumi Miwa and Mechamaru (Kokichi Muta) in Jujutsu Kaisen, including the scene and its ending.

Because Jujutsu Kaisen is a very intense battle story, there are almost no romantic scenes in it.

One of the few examples of couplings and love stories in the series is the combination of Kasumi Miwa and Mechamaru (=Kokichi Muta).

[Jujutsu Kaisen] Rumours of a coupling between Miwa Kasumi and Muchamaru (Kokichi Muta)

Here are some of the scenes in the Jujutsu Kaisen films where Miwa Kasumi and Mukamaru (Mutakoukichi) are actually involved.

Both Miwa Kasumi and Mukamaru (Mutakoukichi) are students at the Kyoto School, so they don’t get to play as much as Eugene Toratane and his friends, but they are often depicted at social events.

Kasumi Miwa gave Kokichi Muta(Mechamaru) a “Valentine battery”. (Vol. 5, chapter 39)

In the reminiscence scene of Mekamaru in the 39th chapter of the 5th volume, we can see the connection between Miwa and Mecgamaru (Kokicchi Muta).

Miwa gave Mechamaru a battery with a smug look on her face and says, “This is a battery instead of valentine chocolate.”.

The culprits are Mai and Momo, who are laughing behind her, and Miwa seems to really believe that Mechamaru is powered by batteries.

The story of Miwa and Mechamaru is not shown in the main story, but there may have been such communication in the past.

Miwa Kasumi faced Maki during the exchange meeting and was neutralised when she was robbed of her sword.

Then in the 43rd chapter of the 5th volume of the manga, when she is at her wits end without her sword, she receives a phone call from Mechamaru’s phone.

The call is actually from Toge Inumaki, and in the next moment Miwa is put to sleep by cursed words.

By the way, If you think about this scene normally, it would be more reasonable to put to sleep Momo Nishimiya who has the ability to search for enemies, or Noritoshi Kamo who has the ability of quasi-first grade shaman instead of Kasumi Miwa who is incapacitated.

This is just a guess, but perhaps Miwa’s name was prominently displayed in the contact book of Muchamaru’s phone.

It’s also possible that Mechamaru only had Miwa’s contact information on his phone, but that seems unlikely since they would have exchanged contact information at the exchange meeting where team play is required.

This is the scene in manga volume 9, chapter 79, where Miwa is going around collecting notebooks.

She enters the room where Mechamaru is, but Mechamaru has gone into a dormant state because he had some wild business with Kenjaku and Mahito.

In fact, this scene was the last chance for the living Mechamaru and Miwa to talk, but they didn’t know that and the conversation ended easily.

This is the scene in chapter 80 of volume 10 of the manga, where Kokichi Muta, aka Mechamaru, boards “Ultimate Mechamaru: mode Absolute” to battle Mahito.

Before the battle begins, Kokichi Muta remembers Kasumi Miwa’s smiling face, which shows that he has more feelings for Miwa than just the desire to return to his Kyoto school.

Also, in the 82nd chapter of the 10th volume of the manga, Kokichi Muta uses the “New Shadow Style, Simple domain” as a countermeasure against Mahito, who  nullifies normal attacks.

Originally, New Shadow Style was handed down from one family to another, and it was forbidden to intentionally pass on this technique outside due to the “Binding”.

However, Kokichi Muta was able to use it a limited number of times because he saw the simple domain of Miwa Kasumi.

It was a hot development that his trump card was his favourite girl’s technique, but it caused too many death flags for Kokichi Muta.

Mutual love? Kasumi Miwa declared her sympathy to Kokichi Muta(Mechamaru).

In the 82nd chapter of the 10th volume of the manga, the scene switches to Miwa and Mechamaru at the moment when Mahito, who was pretending to be dead, directly attacks Koukichi Muta.

Miwa says to the sleeping Mechamaru as

After playing baseball on Gojo Satoru’s whim at the exchange meeting, the Kyoto school members have become friends, and Miwa tells him that she wants to be friends with Mechamaru and that she will come see him someday.

However, while Miwa was talking to Mechamaru, Kokichi Muta was killed by Mahito.

In the end, when Miwa came to collect Mekamaru’s notebook, it was the last time they talked.

In chapter 128, Kasumi Miwa was on the bullet train to Tokyo, and she is holding a mini-mechamaru in her hands, which was left by Kokichi Muta.

Koukichi Muta knew that the Shibuya Incident was too dangerous because he was an informant, so he made sure that no one from the Kyoto school went to Shibuya except Aoi Todo and Arata Nitta.

Miwa asked why Mechamaru didn’t tell Miwa about that and said, “Because I’m useless?”, “Because I’m weak?”.

Then Mechamaru revealed his real intention.

Mekamaru was an insider of Geto(Kenjaku) side, but he broke up with Kenjaku for the sake of the Kyoto school members, and he also did a lot of tricks to keep them from dying in the Shibuya Incident.

He was also a good friend of Miwa, and that’s why he did it.

And this was the tone of Mini-Mechamaru so far, but in the last moment, the voice of “Koukichi Muta”, not “Mechamaru”, said

Then Mini-Mechamaru stopped functioning.

[Jujutsu Kaisen] The love affair between Kasumi Miwa Kasumi and Muchamaru (Kokichi Muta) ends sadly.

We have introduced the story of Kasumi Miwa and Mechamaru’s relationship, but as mentioned above, the story ends with the death of Mechamaru and the final confession of the mini-Mekamaru he left behind.

Kokichi Muta wished to see everyone at the Kyoto school during the battle with the pandas at the exchange meeting and during the battle with Mahito, and his wish may have come true only at the last moment.

After Mini-Mekamaru stopped speaking, Miwa cried out in the bullet train, and outside the carriage were Utahime Iori, Noritoshi Kamo, Momo Nishimiya and Mai Zen’in.

Apart from Miwa, the other members of the Kyoto School consider Mechamaru to be one of their most important friends and none of them blame him for having been insider of the enemy.

Koukichi Muta wished to meet the members of Kyoto school, but I think every member of the Kyoto School, including Miwa wanted to meet Kokichi Muta as well.
