[Jujutsu Kaisen] Introducing the list of cool scenes of Mutakoukichi!
Here are some of the coolest scenes from the main story of Mechamaru (Koukichi Muta), along with the volume and number of chapters.
Mechamaru is a student at the Kyoto magic technical college, so he doesn’t get as much time as Yuji Itadori and his allies, but as the story progresses, it becomes clear that he is in a very important position.
There are numerous cool and famous scenes among them, so let’s take a look at them in the chronological order of the story.
Mechamaru’ reply “Who’s Tin Can?”
In the 37th chapter of the 5th volume of the manga, this is the scene where Kugisaki was agitating against Momo Nishinomiya.
In order to agitate Momo, Kugisaki called Mai Zen’in as “Watered down Maki“, and also called Mechamaru “Tin Can“.
The next moment, Mechamaru shoots Panda, but even though he was far away, he heard Kugisaki’s “Tin Can” comment.
The shocking appearance of the main body of Mechamaru.(Vol. 5, chapter 38)
In the 38th chapter of the 5th volume of the manga, the condition of the main body of Mechamaru was revealed during the battle with Panda.
Mechamaru is a strong and sturdy looking robot that is usually seen in public, but the body of Kokichi Muta is missing his right arm from the elbow and both legs from the knee due to the “Heavenly binding curse“.
In addition, the skin all over his body is so fragile that even the moonlight gives him “pain as if a needle were pricked into every pore”.
When you see the possibility that you can cure this condition, you can’t help but fall into the trap of being an insider…
Ultimate Cannon (Vol. 5, chapter 38)
In the 38th chapter of the 5th volume of the manga, Mechamaru unleashes a spell with a long name, the Mode Albatross “Ultimate Cannon” on Panda.
The Ultimate Cannon is one of Mechamaru’s most powerful special moves, as he charges a large cannon barrel from his mouth and simultaneously shoots out heat rays from both barrels.
This is one of the best techniques among the Kyoto School members in terms of spell power output alone.
The appearance of the technique is more like a weapon than a spell.
I want to see everyone (Vol. 5, chapter 39; Vol. 10, chapter 81; Vol. 10, chapter 82)
Kokichi Muta, the main body of Mechamaru, is unable to even walk outside due to physical disabilities caused by the “heavenly binding curse”, but he had hoped to meet the Kyoto school members in person one day.
In the 39th chapter of the 5th volume of the manga, when Panda asked him “Why are you a sorcerer?” and “Is there something you want to achieve?”, Kokichi Muta replied as
Someday I’ll…
He was about to answer the question from Panda though, he stop saying it.
His desire is just meeting the members of Kyoto college.
This desire of his never ceased until the very end.
Kokichi Muta was cured by Mahito’s “Idle Transfiguration“, and right before he suffered a fatal blow in the battle against Mahito (chapter 81 of volume 10 of the manga), he said, “I will join everyone!” in his mind.
And in the 82nd chapter of the 10th volume of the manga, when he delivers the blow to the Geto, he also shouts “I can win! I can meet everyone!”.
You can see that he really wanted to meet the Kyoto school members.
As a fan, it was hard to read this scene because it raised too many death flags…
Pitcher Mekamaru (Vol. 7, chapter 54)
In the 54th chapter of the 7th volume of the manga, the goodwill event that had been interrupted by the attack of Hanami and his allies was resumed in the form of a baseball game.
However, Mechamaru’s puppet was smashed by Panda, so he couldn’t play in the game, and a pitching machine took his place as “Pitcher Mechamaru“.
By the way, this is a pitching machine powered purely by electricity, not by Kokichi Muta.
Ultimate Mechamaru: Absolute Form (Vol. 10, chapter 80)
In the 80th chapter of the 10th volume of the manga, Koukichi Muta challenges Mahito with his “Ultimate Mechamaru: Mode Absolute“.
The fact that Koukichi Muta was able to build such an Evagelion-like puppet after such a long period of seclusion shows that Mahito is a dangerous cursed spirit that requires such a puppet to be prepared.
In the end, it was impossible to escape because of Geto(Kenjaku)’s curtain, but it was cool of Koukichi Muta to challenge the two so powerful opponents, Mahito and Geto, without hesitation.
I feel like a super robot (Vol. 10, chapter 80)
This is the scene where he struck the first blow to Mahito in the 80th chapter of the 10th volume of the manga.
Koukichi Muta had been indoors all his life due to the heavenly binding curse, but during that time he had been storing up his magical power.
By unleashing a year’s or two year’s worth of spell power at once, he is able to achieve the output of a special grade spellcaster, albeit temporarily.
From the cockpit, he shouted as “Charge one year! Burn it down, Mechamaru!”. This scene is really hot and cool.
Mechamaru’s trump card, “Simple Domain” (Vol. 10, chapter 82)
This is the scene in chapter 82 of volume 10 of the manga, where he fights back despite being drawn into Mahito’s domain expansion “Self embodiment of perfection“.
Inside the domain, the sorcerer’s spell becomes a must-hit, which means that Mahito’s instant death technique, “Idle Transfiguration“, will hit Mechamaru regardless of his armour.
However, in this scene, Koukichi Muta used New Shadow Style’s “Simple domain” to nullify the special effect of Mahito’s domain, and then struck him with an effective blow that was ineffective against his normal spells.
In addition to the heartbreaking reversal of the desperate situation, the pose of Kokichi Muta while saying “New Shadow Style’s “Simple domain“” was too cool scene.
He confesses to Miwa after his death. (Vol. 15, chapter 128)
Although he died in the battle with Mahito, Kokichi Muta reappeared in the form of “Mini-Mechamaru” during the Shibuya Incident.
Then, in the 128th chapter of the 15th volume of the manga, while confessing his thoughts to Miwa on the bullet train, the machine stops functioning and Koukichi Muta dies for real.
Although Koukichi Muta is an insider and a traitor to the college, his natural body, his efforts and actions during the Shibuya Incident make him a character that we cannot hate him.
[Jujutsu Kaisen] Mechamaru’s real name is Koukichi Muta! He looks so cool after cured!
In the 79th chapter of the 9th volume of the manga, Kokichi Muta’s body was healed to a healthy state by Mahito’s technique “Idle Transfiguration“.
Until then, he was wrapped in bandages, so it was impossible to tell who he really was.
Then, after the treatment by Mahito, it was revealed that he was a normal, handsome, cool guy.
Only Mahito and Geto have seen his true face, but I wish I could have let him meet Miwa at least once.
[Jujutsu Kaisen] The voice actor of Muta Kokichi is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Keith Silverstein.
The voice actor of Mechamaru (Koukichi Muta) is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.
Mechamaru’s voice can be seen in the movie above. His voice has been processed to sound mechanical and inorganic, so the voice quality is exactly like the image of Mechamaru.
Also Keith Silverstein acts Mechamaru’s voice in the English version of anime.
